WAYFINDING MODEL FOR HOUSING ESTATE WEBSITE
Destinations in the Barbican Estate in London can be challenging to locate because it is built on a pedestrianised podium without conventional streets. A residents’ website required graphic content to overcome this problem. The solution chosen was to show the building names on computer models constructed to scale and in their true relationship. These models were then rendered transparently to provide full legibility of all addresses. Views were taken looking north and south.
